Hi, I’m Erick Segura. Visual artist, curator, and art professional based in Long Island, New York. My work as a fine artist is rooted in abstract expressionism and mark-making, exploring themes of identity, nostalgia, and the emotional imprint of memory. Alongside my studio practice, I bring over a decade of experience in fine art handling and custom framing, working closely with collectors, private galleries, and fellow artists to preserve and present artwork with both technical precision and aesthetic sensitivity. This hands-on experience has given me an intimate understanding of how artwork exists not only within the artist’s studio, but also in the spaces where it is ultimately experienced.
Through Wistful Heart Curates, I expand my practice into curatorial work by developing exhibitions, advising collectors and artists, and collaborating with private galleries to create thoughtful presentations of contemporary art. Bridging these disciplines together allows me to approach art holistically. As a creator, a steward of objects, and a facilitator of meaningful creative dialogue. My work through Wistful Heart Curates centers on fostering relationships between my network of talented artists, collectors, and spaces, while elevating the presence and longevity of contemporary art that I personally connect with and believe in sharing with the world.
